Parenting Practically
The Parenting Practically
workshops aim to provide parents or carers with insight into the
often challenging behaviours that their children and adolescents
may exhibit. Practical strategies in coping with these
behaviours are discussed and offered as part of the workshop
objective. Parents have the opportunity to discuss their
individual concerns with the facilitators throughout the
workshop.
Some topics addressed
include:
- Positive communication with your child
- Dealing with difficult behaviours
- Conflict resolution
- Managing learning difficulties
- Dealing with bullying at school
- Friendship issues
- Self-esteem and positive attitude strategies
- Building resilience.
