Working Together Group
The Working Together groups
are designed to develop and enhance social interaction skills,
social awareness and self-esteem in children and adolescents. As
everyone has individual capabilities and needs, the facilitators
of the groups structure the program to ensure that these needs
are appropriately addressed. These programs are devised based on
the issues raised by the parents and guardians of each
individual participant.
The extensive program,
consisting of four 2-hour sessions, includes topics such as:
- Conversation and Listening Skills; starting and maintaining
conversations and how to be an effective listener.
- The Importance of Healthy Friendships; establishing and
maintaining healthy friendships.
- Conflict Resolution; how to solve problems.
- Addressing and expressing emotions properly.
- Assertiveness techniques; when are appropriate times to be
assertive and how to be self-confident.
- Self Esteem and Positive Attitude Strategies; how to feel good
about oneself and others.
The Working Together groups
