Media Release - Body and Mind come together at Concepts launch - 15th November 2011

National Psychology Week:
Think Well. Be Well. - 13th to 19th November 2011
This week is National Psychology Week which is an initiative of the Australian Psychological Society aimed at increasing public awareness of how psychology can help people and communities lead healthier, happier and more meaningful lives.
The focus this year is on Stress and Wellbeing and the APS have provided a tip sheet on Understanding and Managing Stress as well as publishing results from their Stress and Wellbeing Survey 2011. For more information, please go the APS Website.


Parenting the Gifted Child with Helen Tsamoulos - 9th November 2011
A seminar presented by Helen Tsamoulos to parents and teachers of children within the gifted spectrum of intelligence. Held at the Mercure, Sydney; this seminar provided attendees with the psychological bases behind the gifted child and associated difficulties such as overexcitabilities and oversensitivities; anxiety and the potential for talent verses trouble. Practical considerations and strategies were also provided to assist in the development of healthy, independent, resilient and well-rounded children.
