Principal Psychologists

Helen Tsamoulos and Natalie Kleindyk are the Principal Psychologists and founders of Concepts Psychological Consultants. Together they have over twenty years of experience working with individuals and groups to facilitate positive change. They have worked extensively in the development and implementation of group programs in a range of areas. Their experience includes counselling and assessment of children through to adults for diagnostic disorders, cognitive / functioning ability, personality and interpersonal skills. Helen and Natalie are also educators and accredited supervisors for Provisional Psychologists.

The Concepts Team

Clare Brouggy
BA (Psych), Master of Health Sc (Child & Adol Health), Grad Dip Ed (Secondary), Assoc MAPS.

Clare has over 8 years experience working with adults, children and adolescents as a Psychologist across private, clinical and hospital settings; along with primary and secondary schools. In addition to her psychological qualifications, she has completed qualifications in education and specialises in educational psychology and supporting students with special needs. Clare is experienced in providing counselling for a diverse range of mental health and psychological conditions, educational and mental health assessments, and clinical support to adults, adolescents and children.

Fiona Tzouramanis
BA (Psych), Grad Dip Sc (Psych), Grad Dip (Counselling), Assoc MAPS.
Fiona has completed training in both Psychology and Counselling, and has over 9 years experience working with children, adolescents and families; particularly those adolescents/youth who present with challenging behaviours and those who are at-risk of exclusion from mainstream society. Fiona has primarily worked with children and adolescents in Out Of Home Care (OOHC) and with child protection issues. This includes working with foster carers, providing them with support and strategies to effectively work with, and care for, their foster children. In addition to this, Fiona provides individual counselling for a number of children and adolescents experiencing emotional and psychological difficulties as well as facilitating our Working Together Group Programs.

Ida Shapievsky
BSc (Psych), Post Grad Dip Sc (Psych), Dip (Psych Practice), Assoc MAPS.
Ida enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults in both a counselling and assessment role. Ida's experience includes working as a sexual assault and foster home counsellor, to assisting children with learning difficulties at the DORE centre in Sydney, and as a Psychologist in private practice over the past ten years. Ida is currently working in a counselling and assessment role, providing solution focused therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy to clients of all ages.

Tyrone Hill
BA (Psych), Post Grad Dip (Psych), Assoc MAPS.
Tyrone is predominantly working with children and adolescents within the areas of individual counselling and the administering of psychometric, academic and mental health / behavioural assessments. Tyrone has gained experience with adolescents as a school psychologist, as well as working with adults experiencing drug and alcohol dependancies in both the individual and group format. As well as assisting children and adolescents, Tyrone can provide assistance to adults in the form of adult therapy, individual and couples counselling.

Danielle Sawyer
BA (Psych), Post Grad Dip (Psych), Assoc MAPS.
In addition to her psychological qualifications, Danielle has completed training in Applied Behavioural Analysis Therapy and has extensive experience working with children with Autism and related developmental disorders. Furthermore, Danielle has experience working with children displaying challenging behaviours within both the school and home settings as well as completing a telephone counselling course through Lifeline Australia. Danielle is predominantly involved with the assistance and support of foster carers, helping them to manage and care for their foster children and the administration of psychometric assessments.

Cara Lucas
BA(Psych)(Hons), Post Grad Dip (Applied Psych), Assoc MAPS.
Cara has extensive experience providing individual and group therapy to both children and adults. Cara is predominantly involved with the administration and interpretation of psychometric, academic and mental health/behavioural assessments, and with the development and implementation of support plans in both the home and the school setting. Cara is also involved with the assistance and support of children and parents in out of home care and with the development and facilitation of group programs.

Juliette Mackey
BSc/BA (Psych), Post Grad Dip (Psych), Post Grad Dip (Applied Psych), Assoc MAPS.
In addition to her experience providing counselling and conducting psychological and neuropsychological assessments, Juliette has also worked with patients experiencing physical and psychological trauma within the hospital setting. Juliette is predominantly involved with the assistance and support of foster carers, helping them to manage and care for their foster children. Juliette also facilitates our C.H.I.L.L. and Working Together Group Programs, and assists in the revision and updating of our group programs.

Henry Durant
BSc (Psych)(Hons), Post Grad Dip (Applied Psych).
Henry is currently studying his Masters in Clinical Psychology and has spent the past three years assisting people with an intellectual disability. Henry has also worked with children experiencing anxiety in both the group and individual settings. Henry is predominantly involved with supporting and assisting foster carers to manage and care for their foster children and assists with the facilitating of our group programs.

Michael Reid
Accredited Gym Instructor, Personal Trainer & Master Trainer (AIF).
Michael has been involved in the fitness industry since 1995 and has attained a Master Trainer Certificate for Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer. Michael has trained in various styles of fitness including as a Martial Arts Instructor where he gained a black belt. He has been involved with boxing, body building, and has also managed a gym prior to starting his personal training studio. Michael's goals for the future include building a strong client base for the studio, utilising outdoor areas for classes such as boxercise and core strength training.

Marina Tsamoulos
Educational Instructor
Whilst Marina's primary passion is with animals and sea-life, her secondary role is providing educational assistance to children and adolescents at Concepts. Marina is also a vital member of the administrative team; having been with Concepts since it first opened, Marina is the veteran of all things office related.

Melissa Maxwell
Practice Manager
Managing the day to day functioning and the organisation of the Concepts team is the responsibility of Melissa, who has over 9 years experience in the administration field. Melissa primarily works behind the scenes assisting the psychologists and maintaining the organisation and efficiency of the practice; however Melissa can also be found in reception whether she is talking to clients, answering the phone or assisting with the scheduling.

Alex Miller-Woods
Receptionist
Alex is the newest member of the Concepts team and takes her place in reception, welcoming clients, scheduling appointments and processing payments. Our reception area can get busy at times, but Alex is keen to make all of our clients feel welcome and comfortable at each and every visit.
