Stress Management
Stress management techniques are developed with the client to
assist them to cope with challenges or difficulties in their
lives creating stress-related feelings or behaviour, such as
anxiety or depression. The initial stage of the process involves
one of the Psychologists conducting an assessment of the
individual client's needs by identifying personality factors and
their coping style.
Following this initial assessment, the client and Psychologist
work together to establish strategies which may assist the
client in achieving a more balanced and healthy lifestyle. These
strategies are implemented by the client in their day to day
life, while the Psychologist monitors and encourages the client
throughout this process.
The process may also include the involvement of the Personal
Trainer at
Concepts
who can teach clients physical relaxation techniques suitable to
their level of fitness and lifestyle. Stress management can be
offered on an individual or group basis.
